Canonical Entity File
One permanent CEID per publishable organisation, with names, identifiers, registrations, licences, locations and source provenance.
Versioned snapshot · JSONL / Parquet
Match a customer, supplier or portfolio company to one permanent identity. Keep the source, capture date and resolution evidence with every result. Then monitor what changed without pretending an unobserved day can be reconstructed later.
One permanent CEID per publishable organisation, with names, identifiers, registrations, licences, locations and source provenance.
Versioned snapshot · JSONL / Parquet
Search the complete public entity file, then retrieve a current organisation record by CEID or an exact public identifier without coupling an integration to publisher schemas.
REST · JSON · stable v1 contract
A resumable stream of what changed between captures, with source, comparison window and explicit unobserved gaps.
Cursor API · bulk deltas · webhooks planned
Explainable links between source records and organisations, including the matching method, conflicting candidates and resolver version.
API · reviewed batch matching
The public beta is read-only, intended for evaluation and low-volume use, and carries no service-level commitment. Bulk delivery, sustained automated use and redistribution need an explicit data arrangement because source licences and permitted uses differ by field. The implemented indices are published in a machine-readable method registry.
Source identifiers belong to a permanent CEID rather than becoming the identity themselves. That lets a record accumulate legal names, municipal licences, public activity, funding and history while source systems change.
Automatic joins require strong evidence. Weak name similarity stays unresolved. The match method and supporting facts travel with the record so a customer can audit, accept or reject the decision.
Daily captures create an observation archive that cannot be downloaded retroactively. Missed dates remain visible gaps, and source-health telemetry separates a quiet source from a failed collection.
Dataset licence and provenance stay attached to exported facts. Restricted sources are refused rather than mixed into a commercially ambiguous file. Access never grants rights a publisher did not grant.
Normalize business customers, monitor public standing and retain evidence for every match.
Unify supplier identities across registrations, licences, contract awards and qualifications.
Understand who operates at an address, where businesses appear and when licence or permit activity changes.
Measure the observable business population without mistaking a new source for economic growth.
Trace claims to primary records, compare captures and cite a stable organisation identifier.
Add Canadian organisation search, exact identifier lookup and change monitoring without rebuilding the warehouse.
Watchlists, saved searches, evidence packets and alerts for analysts and small teams.
Metered name search, entity lookup, identifier resolution, changes and source-health endpoints.
Versioned snapshots, deltas, internal-use licensing, service levels and reviewed resolution.
Public lookup remains useful. Customers pay for reliable integration, deeper history, monitoring, bulk delivery and documented resolution—not for hiding the government records they already funded.
Early access is being shaped around real workloads. Include the number of organisations, the identifiers you already hold and whether you need current lookup, change monitoring or a mastered file.
Read the index methodology, source-health record and licensing register before evaluating coverage.
